HUNDREDS of women donned pink T-shirts, feather boas and tutus for this year’s Race for Life.
About 1,400 ran, jogged and walked the 5km route from Foote’s Lane.
The first runner was back in about 20 minutes, while some took it at a more leisurely pace and completed it in an hour-and-a-half.
They all raised sponsorship, which will go to Cancer Research UK. Area events manager Rachel White said the day had gone well.
Many runners wore a note on their backs, saying who they were running for. There were notes to mums, dads, sisters and brothers, but also some just said they were doing it for everyone who had been affected by cancer.
