AFTER 20 years a Vauvert class was reunited at the weekend.

Nearly all of Mrs Mahy’s 1990 Year 3 class went back to their old school to catch up.

It happened after 27-year-old Wesley Thompson sent a letter to the Guernsey Press, along with a photograph of his former classmates, asking for people to get in touch.

He moved away from the island in 1990 and never expected such a response, with 16 out of 20 people in the picture turning up.

‘I have got goosebumps, standing here,’ he said on Saturday, surrounded by former classmates.
