FOR one of the 400 La Mare de Carteret High students who walked from the Imperial to Pembroke yesterday, there was a special reason for taking part.
The West Coast Challenge is raising money for two cancer charities.
And Callum Rowlinson, 11, who has been battling leukaemia for more than a year, has been helped by both of them.
The aim of the walk, which also involves three other schools, is to raise more than £20,000 for the Piam Brown Ward at Southampton General Hospital and Clic Sargent, which helps families of children battling cancer.
