THE LINK Centre has opened its doors to the public for the first time.

The centre, which opened in November in the former Oakvale School, invited people to look around its facilities. It was created for pupils with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.

Centre manager Rob Gilroy said that although it opened last year, the open day was being held now after time had been allowed for the centre to bed in.

‘The open day is for our neighbours and so people can see what we are doing here,’ he said.
