THE early morning rain soon dried and wet tyres were not needed after all for round six of the summer series with the finals taking place in quite hot humid conditions.
It was business as usual for Daniel James in the Gearbox class with a victory in each race.
However, the most triumphant driver at the end of the day was Clem Lanyon, who declared, ‘it’s the first time this season I’ve actually managed to finish every race and everything is still in one piece’, after suffering mechanical problems the whole series.
Novice driver James Ozanne gained second in two heats and the final in which he actually held the lead for the first two laps.
