Musical parade signals the start of Town Carnival

THE Town Carnival got off to a lively start with music and dance.
Saturday saw the week-long party get going with Guernsey Concert Brass, the Guernsey Majorettes, people in traditional costume and the Samba Burros marching through Town.
That was followed by displays in Smith Street and Market Square by some of those groups.
Many people gathered to see the procession.
