Office relocation like moving back home

A MOVE to new offices is actually a return to familiar surroundings for three-quarters of the team at Brewin Dolphin.
The investment manager has just moved from St Peter Port House in Sausmarez Street to 10, Lefebvre Street.
However, for Ian Smethurst, Bob Cable and Stephanie Le Tissier, it is a return to the offices where they spent 12 of the past 13 years, having previously been employed there by CitiQuilter.
The latter pulled out of Guernsey in March last year, meaning all three were made redundant.
Brewin Dolphin quickly snapped them up, but with the company’s lease on its premises running out at the end of June, it meant the business was on the lookout for vacant premises. Mr Smethurst suggested the old CitiQuilter offices because there was a chance they were still vacant.
