A FIVE-FOOT wooden statue brought over from Thailand around 10 years ago has been stolen from The Terrace Tea Garden Cafe.

Bar manager Maija Aboltina said she had noticed on Sunday morning that the statue was missing and notified the police.

She believes that the figure, which is situated inside the main gates, was taken on Saturday night when the restaurant was still open after it got dark, at about 10pm.
