Education hits back at PAC criticism

THE Education minister has hit back at criticism of her department’s handling of its last four capital spending projects.
A Public Accounts Committee report looking into the building of Le Rondin, the Grammar School Sixth Form Centre, the Princess Royal Centre for the Performing Arts and the Baubigny Schools is published in the latest Billet.
Deputy Carol Steere (picturedf) said Education director Derek Neale had written to PAC four times asking why the report was necessary.
They received no reply.
‘When he was furnished with the draft copy of the report we identified about 150 inaccuracies or misleading statements,’ she said.
