Race director Geoff King expects that the maximum 70 entrants will toe the line when the event starts on Saturday evening.
However, at this stage, potential participants may be able to reserve a space by contacting him on 251348.
Among those already entered is a cross-section of Guernsey sporting talent, with athletes being joined by those whose main priority is normally on the hockey, football or rugby pitches, or on the netball court.
