A YOUNG islander who died after being struck by a speeding motorcycle spent his last moments with his mother, it emerged yesterday.

Callum Eborall died in the arms of mum, Claire, police said, after the collision at Les Banques more than a year ago.

It was also disclosed that Callum was holding hands with his girlfriend just before he decided to cross the road seconds before a teenage motorcyclist ploughed into him.

The rider was travelling at between 70mph and 80mph moments before he knocked down the 11-year-old, the Royal Court heard.

Reece Ogier, 17, was yesterday sentenced to two years’ youth detention and banned from driving for seven years after he admitted causing the death of Callum Eborall by dangerous driving on the evening of 15 May last year.
