Les Buttes Cottage in Rue des Buttes, St Saviour’s, had been used by the charity since 1977, but six months ago the British Red Cross decided it was no longer economically viable.
The cottage has now sold for £546,050.
News of the sale has upset former islander Margaret Ferry, who had used the cottage regularly when visiting family.
‘I am very disappointed,’ she said.
