‘Bluerigny’ – there is alternative to takeover

A TANGLED web of rumour and misinformation surrounding the potential sale of Aurigny began to unravel late yesterday afternoon.

After days of speculation that Blue Islands chairman Derek Coates had offered Aurigny a ‘Plan B’ alternative to a takeover, that would see the airlines working together, Treasury finally admitted that other options had been discussed.
This came after Mr Coates, while speaking at a public meeting in Alderney on Monday, rubbished a Guernsey Press page one story that alternatives were on the table and Treasury minister Charles Parkinson assured deputies that nothing had changed with regards the original deal.

When it comes to rumour and misinformation, this story rivals the professional football transfer market! Just replace the States of Guernsey, Flybe, Aurigny and Blue Islands with Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Manchester United…..
