Bridge loses another shop as Dave quits

SOUND CITY, which traded as Guernsey’s friendly music store, is to close in September.

The Bridge shop has been trading for 11 years and owner Dave Hockaday said it was a tough call to have to make.
‘It’s an end of an era and it was an extremely hard decision for me to make,’ he said. ‘Unfortunately, in the current climate, there are no prospects for the shop.’
Mr Hockaday said in the last four years he had seen a dramatic decline in sales since web-based buying had become more popular.
