Leale’s Yard must cut its retailing space by a fifth

THERE must be 20% less retail space at the Leale’s Yard development if the plans are to go ahead, following research by the Environment Department.

A planning application was submitted by Leale’s Yard Ltd, which is the development partner of property owner Channel Islands Co-operative Society, more than a year ago.
Co-op chief executive Jim Hopley said they were pleased planners were considering the project but was frustrated by how long it was taking.
