KRISTINA NEVES has missed out on selection for this year’s Commonwealth Games in Delhi, but the talented youngster may have raised eyebrows among the selection panel with a superb showing last night in Sheffield.

On day two of the British Gas National ASA Championships at the Ponds Forge pool the 13-year-old won the final of the 400m freestyle in an impressive time of 4-24.85, beating an island record which has stood since 1982 and a time inside the consideration time for India.
