PIERRE the willow donkey will be taking pride of place on St Peter’s village green for Monday’s Britain in Bloom judging.
The animal was completed by UK willow sculptor Sophie Courtiour last weekend.
St Peter’s volunteer Owen Le Tissier was impressed by the piece.
‘The sculptor has done an amazing job,’ he said.
Plans are in place for a free picnic on Monday, to be held during the Britain in Bloom judging. The event will be held at Le Ch’min du Tresor, in the rectory gardens.
