HUNDREDS of islanders flocked to the Chateau des Marais at the weekend for the Ivy Earth Fair.

The music event was an alternative to the Vale Earth Fair, which is not taking place this year due to the Collective, the Earth Fair organisers, wanting to take a break.

The event got off to a shaky start on Friday when headliners, UK eight-piece band Introducing, missed their boat and the weather took a turn for the worse.

However, things were back to normal on Saturday, with the sun blazing and the octet make it to the island and onto the stage.
