Will stars shine down on Jinsy?

A GUERNSEY-INSPIRED TV show about a fictional island, said to have received rave reviews from comedy stars Graham Norton, Harry Hill and Matt Lucas, is to have its own series on Sky.

Creators Chris Bran and Justin Chubb have revealed This is Jinsy has been picked up for an eight-part run by Sky One.

And the pair, who are former Elizabeth College students, are hoping to attract some of their famous fans to guest star in it.

News of the Sky deal follows months of negotiations. A pilot was shown on BBC3 but, despite praise from critics and top comedians, the BBC did not pick it up for a series.
