Fishermen fear Sark move to protect waters

GUERNSEY’S fishing industry could be in jeopardy if Sark introduces restrictions and ‘grandfather rights’ in its waters, some local fishermen are warning.
A consultation paper that has been sent to them suggests Sark might introduce new laws.
This legislation could see ‘grandfather rights’ being implemented, meaning Guernsey fishermen who have fished in Sark waters for many years could continue but anyone new to the industry would be banned.
Local fisherman and Seafresh Fishmongers proprietor Andy Le Prevost said that could have a serious impact on Guernsey’s catch.

I presume the fishing in the Sark waters must be so much better than the Guernsey waters?
Bougre moi! Or could it be that you’ve allowed those obsence UK and EU boats to rape your own precious seabed and now you want to do the same to Sark?
I think we desperately need a 12-mile limit to keep out the real enemy at our door.
