Man, 74, dies after being hit by a car

A MAN aged 74 died after being struck by a car while he was apparently crossing the road near Quayside, Vale.
Edward Charles Lee was confirmed to be deceased at the scene shortly after 3pm.
Mr Lee lived in the area and police were speaking to his family last night.
Witnesses said he was struck by a vehicle approaching from the direction of the Vale Castle, as apparently he tried to cross the road.
