GUERNSEY’S show season kicked off yesterday.

The two-day South Show opened its doors at St Martin’s Community Centre at 1pm and quickly filled.

Yesterday’s main focus was the judging and announcement of the various class winners.

Everything from tomatoes and onions to flowers, pottery and sloe gin were judged.

Committee member Brenda Sparkes said there was an increase in class entries this year.
