A growing South kicks off the shows

HUNDREDS of people enjoyed the summer show season opener – the South.
The two-day event, at St Martin’s Community Centre on Friday and Saturday, saw residents of the southern parishes compete in a range of classes including cake making, fruit and vegetables and flower arranging.
There was also a children’s fancy dress competition as well as a dog show and competition.
Show committee president Richard Breban said there was an increase in class and competition entries.
