RANGERS B produced a stunning performance to dump their own club’s first team out of the All-Divisions Knockout Cup with a thrilling 13-12 win last week.

When the match-up was confirmed, there had been plenty of excitement, although few would have dared predict the way the second-team took to the challenge.

Coached by Marco Silvestri, who for that reason was absent from the Rangers A side who had only nine players, they raced into a 5-1 lead after the third innings, with Daniel Penney scoring a home run.

Indeed, the only time they trailed in the match was by a solitary run after one innings each.
