Two arrests over alleged early-hours sex assault
Tuesday 24th August 2010, 2:30PM BST.
TWO people have been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault, police confirmed yesterday.
The incident is said to have happened during the early hours of Sunday morning at a private address.
But officers have said that there was no apparent link to the two attacks on lone women in Town last month.
Following an enquiry from the Guernsey Press about the latest incident, Chief Inspector Ruari Hardy (pictured) issued a statement saying: ‘Police wish to make the facts very clear that all individuals subject to the investigation are now known to police and the events happened inside a private dwelling.
‘Two arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.’
