Whatever the weather show will shine, says president

THE North Show is prepared for all weathers, say organisers.
With rain predicted for the first day of the show in Saumarez Park tomorrow, president Simon Marquis said the team was prepared.
‘We have plenty of tents,’ he said. ‘We will carry on if it rains and hope people will bring their umbrellas.’
In his first summer as show president, Mr Marquis was optimistic that everything would go ahead. ‘We have mountain bikers this year, so that should probably go ahead if it rains. But we need to make sure we won’t damage the park if it is wet.’
