Bradford walks out on champs

Wednesday 25th August 2010, 2:30PM BST.

SCOTT BRADFORD has handed in a transfer request to move from Belgraves to St Martin’s.

The island midfielder made his desire to leave the Track public when he submitted the form yesterday morning, something Bels coach Leighton Chainey confirmed.

If the move were to take place, Bradford would join up with his island assistant coach Colin Fallaize at Blanche Pierre Lane, as well as a host of other star Guernsey names already playing there.

Bradford yesterday explained his decision to move.

Bit of a cop out if you ask me going to the best team for a ”challenge”! Jumping a sinking ship more like. I just hope the youngsters at Saints who aren’t in the island team get to keep their shirts until there is reason for them to be dropped
