Guernsey junior team hold slender first-leg advantage

GUERNSEY’S junior riders are on top at the halfway stage against their Jersey counterparts in the team event of this year’s Horse of the Year show.
In appalling weather, the riders on show on day one of the CI’s biggest showjumping event displayed some impressive rounds.
The home side led by example in the first leg of the Team Trophy, with all four riders going clear.
Jodie Travers, who will become the first Sarnian ever to jointly compete in the senior event, showed her team how it was done, before Freddie Best, Georgie Prow and Ellie Hindle followed suit.
