Tardif on his way home

Thursday 26th August 2010, 2:30PM BST.

Chris TardifCHRIS TARDIF is set to make a return to Guernsey football and provide St Martin’s with their latest big-name signing.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has confirmed that he and his family will be coming back to live in the island within the next fortnight, with Blanche Pierre Lane his most likely playing destination.

Tardif (pictured) has spent the whole of his senior career, bar last year’s Island Games, playing in the mainland, first professionally and later semi-professionally.

He signed for Basingstoke Town in June, playing the early part of this season in the Blue Square Premier South, two tiers below the Football League.
