GUERNSEY’S new ambulances are blazing a trail in pioneering technology – and they are smaller and cheaper.
The Guernsey Ambulance and Rescue Service has beaten the UK service to take delivery of two new front-line emergency vehicles.
Chief ambulance officer Jon Beausire said the vehicles, from German manufacturer Ambulanz Mobile, were at the cutting edge of rescue equipment.
‘Guernsey Ambulance and Rescue Service has a history of innovation and firsts among ambulance services. With these new front-line emergency ambulances, designed and built specifically for both us and our patients’ needs, we are continuing that trend and ensuring we continue to provide the people of Guernsey with the best possible emergency treatment and care.’
