Rihoy injury scare

Monday 30th August 2010, 2:30PM BST.

Dave RihoyDAVE RIHOY could miss the trip to Croatia after picking up a potentially serious knee injury in Saturday’s Jeremie Cup quarter-finals.

Tony Vance looked on as the Bels star (pictured)  hobbled off early on in the champions’ 3-1 defeat at Blanche Pierre Lane, the player’s studs sticking in the turf and his knee inverting under a challenge from island team-mate Jamie Dodd.

The very early diagnosis was either medial ligament or cartilage damage and Rihoy had a job to walk by the end of a tie in which St Martin’s triumphed with two goals from Glyn Dyer and an injury-time cracker from sub Luke Winch.

Vance was a spectator at St Martin’s and yesterday admitted it was a potentially big blow.
