Panel beater ‘vindicated’ by tribunal’s dismissal ruling

A PANEL beater said he felt vindicated after an employment tribunal accepted his claims that his former employer subjected him to sustained abuse and victimisation.
Ian England’s claim for constructive dismissal against John Thompson Autorestorers Ltd was upheld by the tribunal, which awarded him £13,104 in compensation.
‘Obviously I do feel vindicated,’ he said. ‘They said I had made “exaggerated claims” but obviously those claims have been proved to be true.’
However, former boss John Thompson said he was ‘gobsmacked’ by the decision and would appeal.

Does the relevant Union know about this? Or are Trade Unions not permitted within this company?
I hope Thompson does appeal and is again gobsmacked when he gets hit with a further heavy cost when he loses it

it still ceases to amaze me that employers still think that they can ride roughshod over their employees (remember them – they bring in the cash!)
These new (1998) laws are fully published and available to all, it only take a little time to read up and go through the proper processes when the need to disciplin occurs.
