Pattimore shines as drought is ended

GUERNSEY had 10 heroes over the weekend as they finally broke their junior inter-insular jinx.

The Sarnians had not beaten Jersey this millennium – their last victory coming back in 1998 – but at L’Ancresse they put recent history firmly behind them with a team performance of which they can be truly proud.

Every one of the team contributed at least one point to the cause and in doing so brought a smile to Guernsey Junior Golf Club president Bill Le Huray’s face.

‘It’s a great achievement by the kids,’ he said.
