Showjumping juniors jump to own win

UPWARDS of 200 horses, dozens of riders and five days long.
Any serious assessment of the 2010 BSJA Horse of the Year Show at Chemin Le Roi would conclude that it had been another huge success.
But, if your inclination is to be greedy and overly patriotic, the show ended in disappointment with Jersey, just as they had done so on Saturday, claiming the spoils in the big event of the final day, the senior team jumping trophy to defend their title from the dual threat of the Cathy Best-led home side and an England team.
After Friday’s round the two Channel Islands teams jointly led with no faults between them, while England were already outsiders with eight faults.
