Andy PriaulxANDY PRIAULX faces a massive weekend in his quest for a fourth world title.

The FIA World Touring Car Championship resumes in Germany following its summer break and history suggests that the Guernseyman is in pole position to close the gap on Yvan Muller at the top of the drivers’ standings.

Priaulx currently lies third, 16 points behind the championship leader, but the Oschersleben circuit is renowned as a BMW favourite with the manufacturer having won nine of the 10 WTCC races held there.

The Sarnian last year won race one while his teammate, Augusto Farfus, took the chequered flag in race two.
