Abandon your bed and sleep in a strange place to help Africa’s poor

FANCY being abandoned in Guernsey?

It may begin tonight, but there is still time to register a team for this year’s Abandoned event, which will now take place throughout the whole of September.

And while the theme of Hope For A Child’s annual fund-raiser in aid of projects in some of the poorest parts of Africa remains all about sleeping rough overnight, this year the charity would like to see some unusual venues used, too. In fact, the more creative the better.

That can be outdoors, indoors, in boxes, tents or vehicles.
