THIS year’s Itex Rotary walk has raised more than £40,000 for local charities.

That figure was released last night at a presentation for the beneficiaries and award winners.

Lt-Governor Sir Fabian Malbon presented the charities with their donations yesterday.

There were also awards for the oldest and youngest walker, the person who raised the most money and the presentation of the John Mann Award for Endeavour.
