A poster campaign has been launched urging islanders not to walk home alone at night following the recent spate of sex attacks in Town.

Fusion nightclub’s bar supervisor Phil Midgley decided to set up a campaign page through Facebook.

This has now been extended to similar strongly-worded posters and leaflets that are going up in bars, pubs, clubs and shops throughout St Peter Port.

Police have warned the public to be vigilant after several alleged early morning assaults on lone women over the past six weeks, not all linked to the same attacker.

This is a joke, publicity stunt!

Dont you think people would walk home in a group if they could. None of my friends live by me and say a girlfriend walked me home who then is going to walk her home.

As for taxi could be attack in the taxi remember the girl around christmas!? Plus they cost a lot and if you arnt going far you feel lazy getting a taxi. I have even been laughed at and made to feel small by a taxi person for getting a short journey to get home.

Stop messing around with waste of money and time posters telling us all what we already know and make us safe by getting GOOD CCVT around town If you feel the same way join the facebook page: Good CCTV for town GSY.

Forget the cost, forget the big brother worry, when your being beaten to death or say your little girl/wife/friend/sister is being raped will these silly thoughts of how much it cost enter your head?

Yes people have been beaten to death in town ok maybe not many. You may say is it worth it for say one life well you go ask the family of that person if its worth it. Maybe that person could of been saved or at lest the people brought to justice.
