THE Citizens Advice Bureau is appealing for more volunteers following a surge of enquiries about its services.
The organisation has this year seen a 26% increase in the number needing its help.
It currently has 25 trained volunteers but, said bureau deputy manager Kerry Ciotti, they need more.
The work, she said, was both challenging and rewarding.
* The bureau is holding an open evening on Thursday 16 September for people interested in becoming volunteers. The office, at Bridge Avenue, will be open from 6.30pm to 8pm. Those who are interested but cannot attend the open evening can call 242266 for more information.
