Guernsey Kiwis shaken but fine after NZ quake

A GUERNSEY couple living near Christchurch have spoken of their relief at surviving the New Zealand earthquake safe and well.
John and Anna Mahy moved to the country five years ago and have three children.
The earthquake, measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale, struck in the early hours of Saturday 13 miles west of Christchurch. No one was killed but the quake caused extensive damage to buildings and roads and cut off electricity and water supplies.
Mr Mahy said it had been a frightening experience.
