ANDY PRIAULX is hot on Yvan Muller’s tail after moving up to second in the World Touring Car Championship yesterday.
The Guernseyman notched up his sixth win of the season in Germany and in doing so went ahead of Gabriele Tarquini in the drivers’ standings.
The triple world champion and his BMW Team RBM teammate, Augusto Farfus, put on a good show for their team on home ground at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben and, thanks to the win and sixth in race one, Priaulx has now moved to within 13 points of championship leader Muller.
‘What can I say except this was a brilliant weekend for me and the team,’ Priaulx said.
