Crowe’s Nest to star in Herm

IT MAY not share the Hollywood looks of its co-star Russell Crowe, but it’s big, strong and has just landed a starring role in a Bailiwick production.

A 45ft landing craft, which featured in recent movie blockbuster Robin Hood, is now about to set sail for Louis Le Couteur and Chris Allsopp’s Herm Oyster Farm.

The business partners had been trawling websites searching for such a vessel for a year so they could do all the work they needed to do on board – from grading the oysters to driving trailers and tractors onto the boat itself.

The duo, who took over the Herm oyster licence four years ago and started trading this year, snapped up the 16-tonner immediately.
