Equitable Life compensation decision due early next month

ISLANDERS who lost money to the Equitable Life pension company look set to find out next month how much they might get back.
Payments could start coming in from the middle of 2011.
UK Treasury minister Mark Hoban has said 1.5m. savers would be compensated, but how much they will get remains unclear.
The UK Government will decide in October what percentage investors should receive, although there have been some suggestions in the national media that this could be as little as 10%.
