St Peter 2, North 2 (a.e.t. St Peter win 5-4 on pens)
GUERNSEY football’s perfect run in this season’s inter-insular clashes came to a halt on Sunday as North unluckily exited the Wheway Cup.
Before the clash against St Peter in Jersey, local sides had won five out of five matches against their Caesarean counterparts in both that competition as well as the Jeremie Cup.
North ultimately paid the penalty for missed chances galore when they lost 5-4 in a penalty shootout after an entertaining 120 minutes had ended in stalemate.
It could not have started better for the chocolate-and-blues, who made a quite stunning start within the first two minutes through Simon Tostevin (pictured).
