‘Economic future not bright’

PRIVATE equity boss Jon Moulton, pictured, has painted a bleak picture for the economy’s short-term prospects.
The Guernsey resident and Better Capital chairman, who is guest speaker at this month’s Institute of Directors lunch, gave his thoughts on the economic outlook for the UK and Europe in an interview with stock market website GuruFocus.
However, he added that his pessimistic view of the economy did not necessarily mean there would not be opportunities.
‘What is very clear at the moment is that the only certainty is uncertainty,’ said Mr Moulton.
