ALAN ROWE has claimed a silver medal in his age group at the ITU World Duathlon Championships in Edinburgh.

Only an exceptional performance on the day by former Scotland Commonwealth Games cyclist Kenny Riddle saw the Guernseyman beaten in the 45-49 years category.
