Bailiff hosts our squadron

‘GUERNSEY’S own’ 201 Squadron representatives were received by Bailiff Sir Geoffrey Rowland at a vin d’honneur last evening.

It followed the Battle of Britain air show at which the squadron collected £3,500 for the Royal Air Forces Association.

Wing Commander Mike Blackburn said the men were always humbled by the reception they received in the island.

‘In the years that we’ve been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan it has been a real tonic.

‘The support for the squadron is overwhelming,’ he said.
