Knife man: I’ll kill you and me…

Angered by a group of youths making a noise outside his house, Shane Parsons went out brandishing two kitchen knives.

A three-hour stand-off with police ensued, with the 34-year-old threatening to kill the officers and himself.
In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Parsons, of Happy Days, Old Mill Road, St Martin’s, admitted threatening violence towards police and carrying an offensive weapon.
A probation report was ordered and he was remanded in custody until 23 September for sentencing.
