TODAY’S Dublin encounter with the Republic of Ireland amateur side will be Guernsey’s last before heading to Croatia.

The Guernsey Football Association had hoped and worked hard to arrange another game for next weekend in the island but, as GFA chairman Mark Le Tissier explained yesterday, all efforts to find opposition have failed.
‘We have tried academies and other places but everybody has now started their programmes.
‘We just haven’t been able to get opposition,’ he said.
