Pupil Lucas Harrisson is making a flight simulator for his school by converting the fuselage of a plane that crashed in Sark several years ago.

The structure was donated by Aircraft Servicing Guernsey. Now the lower-sixth pupil is in the process of fitting it with computer equipment so that fellow pupils can virtually ‘fly’ the plane around the Channel Islands.

It is the second simulator the 16-year-old has made – his first was a helicopter. ‘Once I had done mine, I really wanted to do one for the school,’ he said.
